The unmodified SX-1 MTR shot on the distance of 2240 meters at The Skiritai Field in Italy

Known by serious performance shooters around the world, the Skiritai shooting range offers members an unprecedented real-world experience in shooting long-range with large calibers. Located in the hills outside of Pisa, Italy, the Skiritai Legacy draws military snipers and professional performance shooters and manufacturers to this picturesque region.

Ritter & Stark shooting team members Milos Jovic, Harry Drescher and Pieter Buitendijk shocked other long range enthusiasts at the world renowned Skiritai shooting range with an impressive feat of skill and engineering last Friday. On a warm mid-July day, Milos and Pieter successfully made a shot at an 2240 meters using an entirely factory and unmodified SX-1 Modular Tactical Rifle and factory produced ammunition. Milos settled in behind the unmodified Ritter & Stark SX-1 MTR chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum and loaded a magazine of factory Ruag 250-grain Swiss P Target into the SX-1 Modular Tactical Rifle, taking aim at a 40 x 60 cm target over two kilometers away.

Team Ritter & Stark spotter Pieter called the wind to Milos who then launched a 250 grain bullet 2240 meters to impact the target not once, but three times making the Ritter & Stark SX1-MTR the only rifle there to hit the target at that distance that day. After Milos’s and Pieter’s success, other shooters from the EXLRS.com community have had the chance to repeat this shot with the same rifle.

Ritter & Stark and their shooting team have proven that you don't need a highly customized rifle to shoot extreme long range with repeatable success, the SX-1 MTR is ideally suited for the job right out of the box.
